Diggers Rest Early Learning Centre is located in the heart of Digger’s Rest to Diggers Rest Primary School and train station. Our centre offers 100 places for Long Day Care, including an integrated Kindergarten*.
They encourage children to develop their social skills through play. Social skills are developed in a variety of ways including imaginative play, story times and participating in incursions, excursions and community events.
Primary
Diggers Rest Primary school is a great place for your children to continue their learning journey. Set in beautiful surroundings with a sensory garden, the school offers a safe, fun and interactive environment that’s underpinned by strong ethics and leadership. Additionally, as an investment in the future, the Victorian State Government has granted $3.2 million in funding to extend and further modernise the school.
Secondary
As your children grow and require secondary school, you’ll find a selection of colleges close by to suit their educational needs. Sunbury College, Sunbury Downs College and Salesian College are all known for their academic structure and curriculum. We encourage you to tour the individual schools and find an educational solution that’s right for your child.
Shopping
Whether it’s for a DIY project, food or just a bit of retail therapy, Davis Vineyard has the goods.
Diggers Rest will soon have its own shopping complex featuring a major supermarket as well as smaller retailers, cafes and a tavern.
There’s also Bunnings (five minutes), Watergardens Shopping Centre (13 minutes), DFO Essendon (19 minutes) and the established shopping strip in nearby Sunbury (6 minutes) which is buzzing with established butchers, bakers and general retail outlets.
